Making the right decision on the perfect bed

Making the right decision on the perfect bed is equally as important as choosing the right mattress construction, filling and firmness level. Choosing the correct bed includes purchasing the right size in regards to height and width. Your preferences on your bed should relay on your needs and style you wish to purchase.

Some sizes that beds can come in are single beds, double beds and King Size beds. With double beds you can get two types, one that is known as ‘small double beds' and then you have the stranded size.  The sizes in the USA and UK have minor variation. There are sizes such as queen Size Beds or extra long single beds. It purely depends on what you are looking for.

The height of single beds, double beds and king size beds vary significantly due to the width of the mattress you wish to purchase. When searching for the right bed, the height on the beds should be dependent on the mattress. You do not want to purchase a high bed and adding on the mattress height which will make it difficult for you to get on and off your bed.  The width should also have to be chosen carefully and in accordance with the size of the room. There is nothing worse then purchasing a stylish bed and it does not fit in the room or it takes a lot of floor space in the room.

Why should you purchase single beds, double beds or king size beds?

The key element when choosing a bed is to see whether it is the right size to fit in your room you are going to be placing the bed.

Single beds are mainly for single sleepers. There is no specific age limit on who could use a single bed. Single beds are deigned to have room for a single person, but when selecting single beds, you should keep in mind your height, weight and the way you sleep. There is nothing worse than having your feet hang out from the bottom of your bed or falling off the single beds when you toss and turn. Remember you always want a good night sleep, so comfort and space is important. If you have adequate space in you room to fit double beds in, why not purchase one if it is within your budget.

Double beds come in mainly two sizes: Small double beds and standard size double beds. Double beds are designed to sleep one or two people. Small double beds are again for any age group. Small double beds are normally purchased by teenagers or single sleepers who want a little more space than single beds. Standard size double beds are mainly for two people.  I suggest if you are a newly married couple moving into your new home, stranded size double beds are the right one for you if you are limited on space.

King size beds are for those who love a luxury amount of space. Manufactures supply these king size beds a couple of inches longer in length thandouble beds. This can be anadvantage for people who are longer in length but a disadvantage in taking up more room than double beds and single beds.
