Finding A Desk Chair That Fits You

There are literally thousands of types of chairs available on the market. An Executive Office chair, desk chair or Swivel Chair, which is right for you?

Executive chairs come in many different styles. When looking at a chair, it's good to have in mind whether the chair will be placed behind a desk or a table and the height of that table or desk because of the arms on the chair. An Executive Chair is a high backed, armed chair that usually swivels and has an Adjustable Height. Most have a slight rocking motion to them as well.

A standard desk chair usually does not have arm rests but usually swivel and have an adjustable height as well. All Desk Chairs have a back on them, some of the backs are adjustable as well for height to put support in the proper place on the back of the person using the chair.

A swivel chair is nearly all Office Chairs. With or without arm rests, adjustable height or non-adjustable, basically all chairs today swivel. The swivel just means basically that the chair is able to turn from side to side instead of being stationery. For the most part, all office chairs today have a swivel motion to them. Office chairs that do not have the swivel motion to them are usually chairs that do not rest on wheels such as lobby chairs or visitor chairs.

A chair may be a high backed, well padded chair or a lower back, semi-padded chair. A desk chair may or may not have arm rests. Differences between these chairs are quite subtle.
