Futons have been a very useful piece of furniture for various homes for many decades. Futons are stylish, versatile, economic, and space-saving fixtures that make great additions to different rooms in your home, and can be integrated into any home setting. Futons are also lightweight and simple, providing a great place for to take a seat or an area to sleep.

Futons are functional and great space savers for smaller areas. They do not take up as much space as a bed or sofa, and are easy to fold up and down as needed. Because of this, they are practical and useful additions to bedrooms, living rooms, recreation rooms, dens, and even home offices.

Futons are also generally simple to assemble and dissemble. They often come packaged in parts that need to be assembled, which is quite helpful if you live in an area that is narrow or small. If you live in congested space such as an apartment, attic, or have narrow hall ways you can carry the pieces individually and assemble the futon in the room. Sofas, which come fully assembled, can be difficult to get through many hallways and doorways.

Futons often have adjustable frames and can be used as either a couch or a bed, depending on how the frame is arranged. The frames are usually made of colored metal, but can be wooden as well. Futon beds do not need to be folded out like a Sofa Bed; all you need to do is push the back of the frame from the upright couch position to a horizontal bed position. One person can lift and reposition the futon from the front to convert it from sitting position to sofa and can convert it back to sofa the same way.

Comfortable & Accommodating

Today's futon models are thicker and much more comfortable than the original models. They are often filled with wool, polyester, cotton, or soft man made fibers. They do not have the springs that conventional beds have, which can be quite a plus. A normal Spring Mattress can become uncomfortable over time if the springs do not hold up well to pressure. This is not a problem with futons because they are rarely made with springs.

Modern Futon makers are also creating futons with various comfortable materials such as dense foam, Memory Foam, and natural products such as latex. Because of this, many people are finding that their futon can be more comfortable to sleep on than their Bed Mattress.

Futons are a great piece of furniture for accommodating overnight guests. They easily fold up as a sofa to allow more space for your guest during the day, and then fold out into a comfortable sleeping area at night.

A great advantage of a futon is the various covers made for them. You can change the look and feel of the entire room just by changing the cover of your futon. With a Futon you can keep up with the latest colors and designs to match your Room Decor. All you need to do is change the cover of your Futon Mattress.
