Clothes Tags---
The Essential Definitions. There are two main types of custom clothing tags: Printed and woven. Printed clothes labels are manufactured from various types of materials that are printed, hot-cut, and folded.
The most common materials used are satin, cotton, and tyvek.
Pros: -Depending on the cloth labels source, a decreased lead time. Usually, printed tags are domestically manufactured. - With the breakthroughs in clothing tags engineering, manufacturers are able to print photographs, shading and shadow, extremely fine writing, and color gradients.

Cons: -Artwork may fade over time with frequent hot washing and dryer use. -Ground colors normally are required to be either soft or white colors, unless your supplier has colored ribbon printing capabilities ---though technology is constantly evolving Woven clothing labels are woven threads with a weave determined by your requirements for the artwork. A loom weaves your image as part of the cloth. The labels are then cut and/or folded.
Pros: -Durable through repetitive use, such as washing and dryer use. -Damask woven fashion labels are a thicker material and have a very high-end appeal
Cons: -Generally a longer lead time to project completion. This is because most woven textiles must be imported, and numerous logistical factors with manufacturing and transport need to be considered. If the designer is short on production time, then woven labels are not the recommend choice for fashion tags. -
Design limitations: All logos and lettering have to have a clear, clean 2-D line drawing appearance. There can be no color gradients, shade variance, or very small detailed lettering. Bear in mind, the loom is weaving a tiny section of cloth, and the artwork woven is required to comply to weaving loom sequences. So if you have an highly detailed logo, it is best to stick to printed clothes labels.
So always keep in mind---do not forget your labels! Planning ahead of time saves you stress, time, and a LOT of money.
